Rey Mysterio supporting the Kids...

NEW YORK - Rey Mysterio joined in the festivities as the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund raised $5.2 million last week at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. The Master of the 619 joined celebrities such as 30 Rock’s Lonny Ross and Speed Racer’s Paulie Litt at the entertainment-filled fundraiser. Toys“R”Us’ 23rd annual charity gala was hosted by comedian Martin Short, and the night included a special performance by Grammy Award-winning singer, Barry Manilow.

The Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund benefit has raised more than $82 million since it began in 1985. The event is one of New York City’s biggest, single-evening fundraisers. Funds raised by the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund are donated to organizations dedicated to keeping kids safe and helping children in times of need, including the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Autism Speaks, Save the Children, Children Affected by AIDS Foundation, the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation and Kids in Distressed Situations, to name a few.
